WSQ BUSINESS MANAGEMENT MODULES

SeraphCorp offers three modules in the WSQ Business Management framework that can also be used as electives for the WSQ Advanced Certificate in Team Leadership, WSQ Professional Diploma in Leadership and People Management and the WSQ Specialist Diploma in Leadership and People Management.

Approach to learning:

The programme is conducted in an informal and interactive style peppered with discussions, real life illustrations, case studies and experiential exercises. The assessments are a combination of written work, case studies and group work. The average teacher-student ratio is 1:15. Modules in this programme are all on a part-time basis, as they are targeted at professionals who take these programmes as part of their on-going professional development.

This course is suitable for:

Crisis management managers, department heads, high potentials being groomed for leadership positions, and those who wish to gain insights into crisis planning methodology. Learners will have to have at least ‘O’ level certification or equivalent to enrol in this programme.

Certification:

Learners will be assessed as ‘Competent’ if they pass the assessments in the programme and have at least 75% attendance. Learners who are certified ‘Competent’ at the end of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) under the WSQ LPM framework.

  • Identify crisis response and recover activities to be implemented in accordance with recovery strategies and business continuity strategies
  • Document crisis response and recovery activities data in accordance with information format requirements

  • Communicate organizational crisis management key messages to relevant stakeholders

MANAGE AND IMPLEMENT BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLANS

  • Identify business continuity team and relevant roles and responsibilities in consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Execute business continuity plans in accordance with recovery strategies, business continuity strategies and framework
  • Coordinate the organisation’s crisis response and recovery activities in accordance with business continuity policies
  • Identify and manage synergies and conflicts in resource availability and access in consultation with relevant stakeholders to ensure optimum resource allocation
  • Implement procedures to communicate with and educate employees on business continuity plans.
